Special Fire Sprinkler Systems for Designed to Keep You In Business

The perfect solution for water sensitive facilites

Mack Fire is proficient in installing fire sprinkler systems that address the issue of special facilities who house contents that could be destroyed or deemed inoperable by damages from water.

Pre-Action Systems

Pre-action systems are typically used to protect certain areas of a facility where water damage from sprinklers needs to avoided. A specific sprinkler head will detect heat or fire and open up, and if needed, more sprinkler heads will open up to help quell the fire. A pre-action fire system is used in facilities where the damage to building’s assets needs to be avoided at all costs.

Facilities that utilize this system:

  • Art galleries
  • Museums
  • Aircraft hangers
  • Computer server rooms
  • Libraries
  • Cold storage areas
  • Archives

Victaulic Vortex™ System

Protect your data servers

Mack Fire also offers Victualic’s hybrid fire extinguishing system: Vortex™. This system is specifically designed for water sensitive buildings, from data centers to power plants. The system utilizes two agents, water and nitrogen, to suppress and extinguish fires. The Victualic Vortex™ system quickly and efficiently absorbs heat and reduces the amount of oxygen in the area to extinguish the fire.

The added benefits of the Vortex™ System:

  • Almost no wetting
  • Prevents clean-up or replacement of equipment
  • Rapid system discharge, means minimal downtime
  • No need for assurance of tight room integrity
  • Environmentally safe design for both personnel and the environment

Foam Suppression Systems

The use of foam as a fire suppression is the go to choice when there is a chance of a flammable liquid fire. The foam is mixed with water, and when released, coats the liquid that is on fire – snuffing out its oxygen supply, reducing the heat, and finally extinguishing the fire.

Facilities where foam suppression systems are widely used:

  • Aircraft hangers
  • Marinas
  • Warehouses
  • Refineries
  • Manufacturing facilities

Deluge Fire Sprinkler System

Deluge fire sprinkler systems are used where high velocity suppression is needed to prevent the fire from rapidly spreading. These fire sprinkler systems differ from the conventional fire sprinklers systems in that all of the sprinkler heads in the system are open and when the water is released after a fire is detected, it flows from all of the sprinkler heads, and not just specific ones. This fire sprinkler system is typically found in industrial type hazards due the the requirement of water being dispensed over a large area or hazard.
